I really can’t believe how long it’s been since my last post… Honestly, since I haven’t been felting as much as I do in the fall and winter, I don’t know, let’s just blame it on the kids being home from school (I can’t get ANYTHING done)… Anyway, there’s an auction happening tomorrow from Cylcollective, and if you’re on instagram, check out her feed which she works so hard on to support us lady makers, it’s a beautiful feed. Her latest post states the rules of the auction and how it all works. I have a planter in the auction, and I’m pretty excited to see all of the work that’ll go up for bidding. The auction closes on the 19th, so check it out!
I’ve also updated the workshops page. I have a few more dates and classes to add to the schedule, and guess what! It’s almost ready!
There’s been a bit of a renovation over at Gallery North, here in Setauket. I loved being there before… the history of the land, the feeling of being near the water, but now? This space? Their new community art center!?! What!!! I’ll be teaming up with a wonderfully talented batik artist, her name is Fernanda and her work is amazing… together we’ll be offering fiber workshops on every level. The Common Threads Fiber Arts Center is real, it’s about to happen soon and if you’re local please stay tuned. We’ll be scheduling workshops in felting, batik, shibori dying, eco-dying, weaving, indigo dying and more. Take a look at this space, I feel like I’m dreaming… Happy felting and like I said, stay tuned. The best way to stay up to date with the daily swing is by giving me a follow on instagram! And don’t forget to check out that auction!
